Journeyman of Three Oaks Michigan converted an existing abandoned windshield wiper factory in Valparaiso, Indiana into a new distillery and brewery operation. The renovated 137,000 sqft facility includes a large pub area, karaoke bar, tasting rooms, tours, community space, two event spaces, event party lodging, retail space, a steakhouse, outdoor roof deck, and two large courtyard areas that featured live music and family interaction. The exterior features a new 40’ tall glass enclosure that showcases the distilling equipment. The factory had sat empty since the mid-1980s. The Valparaiso community embraced the new facility as a destination tourism attraction that expanded the downtown district.
