Project Overview

Berglund Construction was hired to provide Construction Services for the new GI Lab at Advocate Trinity Hospital. The new Gastro Intestinal (GI) Medicine Expansion project consists of renovating and expanding the existing GI department located on the 5th floor of the Southeast Wing at Advocate Trinity Hospital. The newly renovated GI department is approximately 10,000 sqft. The project was heavily phase to minimize any interruptions to the hospitals services.

Phase one included the construction of four procedure rooms along with associated support spaces in the Main wing of the hospital building. Relocating these rooms will also allow the GI Dept. to remain open.

Phase two includes adding 12 new private prep/recovery rooms along with the support spaces and the waiting area in the vacated Southeast Wing.
