Project Overview

Berglund Construction provided construction services for the completion of this new 80,000-sqft facility. In keeping with healthcare technology advances, this new facility allows Ingalls Family Care Center to operate more efficiently, improve the environment, and assure their patients get back to their productive lives more quickly. The design offers enhanced natural lighting as well as greater energy and staffing efficiencies.

Approach

Building features include state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technology and clinical programs such as centers for sleep studies, pain management, joint care, sports medicine, back and neck pain, headache evaluation, epilepsy, balance evaluation and stroke. The building offers web-based physician IT portals and boasts a 24-hour urgent aid center, sleep and neurodiagnostic center, imaging center and a retail pharmacy.

The design offers enhanced natural lighting as well as greater energy and staffing efficiencies. Centrally located nursing stations promote the safety of patients and help reduce the waiting time for the Ingalls Nursing Staff. The second floor build out includes 30,000 sqft of medical office space, custom-designed for private physicians in a range of medical and surgical specialties. Berglund was successful in providing the tenant buildout for these medical suites. All of these features of the new building helped increase the safety and quality of care patients receive at Ingalls.
