The Expansion Project, undertaken for a confidential client, is a major development featuring a 300,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. This impressive build effectively doubles the existing operational space, incorporating 40 new loading docks. The structure is designed with pre-cast concrete tilt-up exterior wall panels, underpinned by structural steel columns, girders, and bar joist, all resting on robust poured concrete footings and foundation walls. It also boasts two mechanical/storage mezzanines, adding an additional 11,500 square feet of elevated space.
The project also entails extensive sitework across a 40-acre site, including the installation of new utilities, comprehensive parking solutions, access drives, loading docks, detention ponds, and security facilities. The main building is centered around a shell and core design, with a multi-level (4 levels) mechanical mezzanine buildout. An integral part of the project is a compact yet essential 2-level, 2,800 square foot space dedicated to shipping and receiving operations.
