Project Overview
The eight tallest building in Chicago, the skyscraper at 900 N Michigan Ave was built in 1989. Between 2002 and 2004, Berglund Construction replaced all the original precast columns located through the building with new fabricated and coated aluminum caps.
The caps were located at the corners of all four rooftop lanterns, at the main roof level and at the 30th floor terrace level. Berglund’s work required the fabrication and installation of custom scaffolding to allow for access at the locations.
