Berglund is currently engaged in preconstruction services for Ivy Tech’s East Chicago Capital Project – Renovation and Infrastructure Improvements. Berglund was selected to be construction manager for the project, which is budgeted at $12.2 million.

The project scope includes renovations to instructional, lab, and classroom space for advanced manufacturing and robotics space and will include classroom spaces for welding and spaces for student collaboration. The additional improvements in this request include updating lighting, windows, remaining HVAC system, fire suppression system, as well as replacement overhead doors, and restrooms adjustments.

The project will impact the total building gross square footage 106,470 for infrastructure components and 48,000 assignable square feet of renovation in class, lab, restroom areas.
