Hansel Whiteurst has joined Berglund Construction as Vice President of the Chicago Building Division. With more than 30 years of building and construction experience, he previously was in leadership at McKissack and McKissack and held other positions at Turner Construction and Lend Lease.

Hansel is a Chicago native, hailing from the South Side’s Auburn Gresham community. He received the prestigious Harlem Black Achievers award from the Harlem YMCA in New York and the Chicago Defender Men of Excellence award. Hansel received degrees in construction management and architecture from Purdue University.
