People who make their way through the Chicago Tribune's must-see architecture bucket list will see some of Berglund’s best work as they visit the acclaimed buildings.
On Sunday, the newspaper picked the top 20 properties across the state for its readers to visit, and Berglund has played a key role in the history of several of them. We have completed significant projects on four of the headliners: The Farnsworth House, the Glessner House, the Sullivan Center and the Skydeck at Willis Tower.
The list also recommends visiting our recently completed restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity Temple as part of its entry on Wright’s Home and Studio. And it highlights the Merchandise Mart, where our crews are restoring the River Walk, as part of its entry on the Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise.
The Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb, Ill., made the list at No. 11. The theatre recently selected Berglund to undertake the restoration of its historic terra cotta façade.
