WESTVILLE, IN – The mission statement for the newest development at Purdue University North Central states “The PNC Student Services and Activities Complex will foster the creation and enhancement of programs and activities to transform the student experience and to facilitate the engagement and development of the regional community.” PNC’s goal for this building is to create a new architectural vocabulary for this beautifully landscaped campus that integrates world-renowned sculptures already in place throughout the campus.
Selected as the Construction Manager, Berglund is providing project administration services working alongside architects Design Organization and collaborating with Purdue University’s Staff to uphold the $33.4 Million budget and accommodate the aggressive schedule. Project Manager, Alex Lulinski representing Berglund was at the groundbreaking and said he was excited to be a part of such a landmark project and has complete confidence that the job will be completed in time for PNC’s May 2016 commencement.
The facility is intended to serve as a landmark on the campus by creating and framing a new gateway entrance, providing the first image of the campus that will greet many first-time visitors and prospective students. The facility will also take advantage of the spectacular views of the natural campus landscape. The 102,239 square feet building will feature student organizations / athletics / recreation element and a conference center element.
