On Friday, April 21st, 2023, the University of Chicago Medicine, Ingalls Health Ventures, celebrated the grand opening of their new home infusion facility and central fill pharmacy in Calumet City, IL with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This renovation project was made possible by the innovative skills of Berglund Construction along with our design partners at CRB group & RTM associates. This facility now provides an efficient central fill pharmacy and a serene space to provide infusion treatments to patients.

Berglund was able to complete the new iA Central Fill Pharmacy with supports spaces, Infusion Treatment Facility, and office space. Berglund also completed replacement of the existing MEPFP infrastructure including new RTUs and a new roof. All new MEP systems were fully commissioned by 3rd party Cx Agent to ensure proper sequencing and operations.

The University of Chicago Medicine, Ingalls Health Ventures, is ecstatic to witness the positive impact that the new facility will have on the community and its patients' lives and are eager to begin this new journey.
