VALPARAISO, INDIANA – Residents of the City of Valparaiso will be anticipating using the new William Urschel Pavilion and Activities Building at Central Park located 70 Lafayette Street Valparaiso, Indiana 46383. As a focal point in the Downtown, the park reinforces a sense of community. With the new expansion project, it will provide additional space for families to socialize, play, and enjoy the outdoors. The new ice skating pavilion has unique architectural features such as the decorative wood trusses, masonry facade and skylights. The pavilion will house a skating rink in the winter and serve as shelter for other events year-round. A new dining plaza will be located between the ice skating pavilion and the businesses on Lincolnway Avenue to the north. The activities building will house the Parks Department offices and conference space and provide residents with a warming space, lockers, restrooms and skate rental shop.
